Several big ISPs in Europe have blocked access to ThePirateBay. The copyright industry is censoring so-called "pirate" websites all around the globe, including The Pirate Bay. Many file-sharing websites, like The Pirate Bay, have been blocked by ISPs in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, and now France since 2011. Their attempts, however, seem to be ineffective, as BitTorrent and other file-sharing traffic does not seem to be diminishing. This is thanks to knowledge websites like this one, which includes an up-to-date Pirate Bay Proxy list as well as additional information about how to circumvent censorship by using alternative approaches.
